pop up ads and links to other websites pop up on every page, I cannot complete a simple task without going to other website first. I have tried to remove the program but cannot find it listed anywhere on the programs features in the control panel. The program is now decreasing my productivity to the point that most transactions now take double the time. Very frustrating

It may be a browser extension you can remove from within Firefox. Try this:

Disable ALL nonessential or unrecognized extensions on the Add-ons page. Either:

  • Ctrl+Shift+a
  • orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Extensions. Then, if in doubt, disable. (Or if it obviously needs to go, use remove.)

Usually a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.

Does that fix it?
