y firefox icon is gone and the only way i can get into firefox is by going through aol. I really don't like doing this. Also the only way I can get into my home page, is also through aol. Please do something.

It sounds Firefox is still installed and you just need a quicker way to launch it. Here are directions for various operating systems (it looks like you're using Ubuntu).
