all themes set to dark
I have noticed that suddenly all the themes on all websites, like github and startpage, are set to dark theme. I didn't set them to dark mode at any point and don't want them all to be dark. Some websites say that they use system settings for default theme. I do not remember changing any settings in my OS(Ubuntu) or in the mozilla browser.

Hello,
Firefox detects the os theme. Your (most likely) GTK theme is dark, as that is the default for gnome (and annoying to change).
To force this to be different, you must make an about:config tweak.
WARNING from the moderator team: Changing Firefox pref from the about:config page can sometimes break Firefox or cause strange behavior. You should only do this if you know what you're doing.
Please read Firefox Advanced Customization and Configuration Options to learn more.
You must go into the filter bar and paste ui.systemUsesDarkTheme then click number, then enter 0 to force Firefox to think that your system uses light mode.
You can change this pref on the about:config page from 3 to 2 to revert to the Firefox 94 behavior.

Dark (0), light (1), system (2) or browser (3)
You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I accept the risk!" to continue.
