hello, can you try to replicate this behaviour when you launch firefox in safe mode once? if not, maybe an addon is interfering here...

Apologies, i didn't mentioned this. Problem is also in safe mode present. It seems really something of Firefox itself

You can disable the new Preferences UI in 'about:config' if you want to :

Type in the address bar about:config and press Enter (promise to be careful, if asked)

Type and look for the preference : browser.preferences.useOldOrganization and set its value to true

Thanks Enigma for providing solution, all options are back visible/selectable. Seems like a bug to me in the new update

I'm glad you got things back to normal   ! It's not a bug though : it's one of the changes that some users may like and others won't .....

Small remark, if it's not a bug how can users lookup their passwords / saved logins in the new UI ? I was not able to do so, with the trick from you it worked. I searched in the new UI but was not able to find a saved password/list

Good question  ! Guess users are expected to check what's new with each new release, like here : https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/56.0/releasenotes/ I've already suggested to Admin that users should see a banner, warning them / telling them about changes that come with new releases.

Just in case you want to file a bug report : https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/

You would normally be able to use the search bar on the about:preferences page to locate specific settings. Maybe you had some weird preference settings that caused the Security tab to crash.

Maybe check the Browser Console for error messages.
