Hello,

I have the following problem, I have completely remove Firefox Quantum from my pc and have deleted all the entries from the registry, but there are so old entries Mozilla 4.0 listed in the registry and these cannot be deleted.

Is there a way to delete these entries from the registry.

Please can you let me know.

Thanks

Matthew

How did you remove the registry? Did you uninstall FF before doing this? If messed up the registry removal there is nothing anyone can do to help if you mess that up.

Can you right-click > Copy Key Name on the key(s) you found and paste them into a reply?

Note that "Mozilla 4.0" may be part of the user agent string of many other browsers that needed to use that back in the day for compatibility reasons. It doesn't necessarily have anything to do with Firefox.

Can you attach a screenshot?

Hello,

Please find the key below that is in the registry that I cannot remove Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT; MS Search 4.0 Robot).

Hope this help.

Thanks

Matthew

MSIE 6.0 is Internet Explorer 6, but "MS Search 4.0 Robot" isn't familiar. I don't know what that corresponds to.

That is a user agent string.

Under what path do you see these items in the Windows Registry?
