on my other computer i have the regular firefox browser but when i got my new laptop and installed firefox, it is the 'release update channel' version and I do not like it! how do i go about getting the normal, regular browser? thanks!

hello hollyia, the release channel is the regular firefox browser , which is best suitable for most users - other versions for the more adventurous are the beta, aurora and nightly channels: https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/channel/#firefox

There are only five channels, the Release is for to get the updates and the same Releases versions you see on mozilla.org and the beta, aurora and nightly development channels as mentioned and there is also a default channel which is for third-party builds by yourself or say by a Linux distro.

Any particular reason why you thought the "Release update channel" would not be for well Releases?
