In previous versions of Firefox for Android you could swype the screen with 2 fingers to the right, and it would show a list of opened tabs. That design was smooth and very easy to access. Why was this removed? Is there any swyping equivalent for new version of tabs on top? Thanks

There were numerous complainants that Firefox did not have tabs. From UX testing with the general population the slide tabs UI was generally considered undiscoverable.

In addition it caused problems with pages that used touch events. For example panning on Google Maps.

Thanks for the reply kbrosnan. For me it was more intuitive and easier to browse and see all tabs. But if everybody says otherwise, I'll have to adjust =)

Any other improvements in sight for tabs? The current one shows only few items, it´s hard to see how many tabs are open and while I'm browsing them I don't know where exactly I stand.

Cheers
