For some reason my Thunderbird has quit being able to send sent e-mails (usually those with embedded images) to my sent items folder. Keeps telling me gmail has times out.

As gmail add sent items as it goes through their server (that is not what is supposed to happen) often we see folk having issues because Thunderbird and gmail are both trying to add the same thing at the same time.

Is your account with gmail IMAP?
