hi Lee99, that's to be expected with 64bit firefox - firefox win64 versions only support flash and silverlight plugins. if you depend on other npapi plugins, please continue to use regular 32bit builds. please also note, that java in the browser is pretty much dead by now as well: http://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2016/01/oracle-deprecates-the-java-browser-plugin-prepares-for-its-demise/

hi philipp, thanks for the reply. I have been running 32 versions, but you gave me the idea to download a fresh copy. Problem solved, Java Plugins there now, Java enabled, for now. I see, get ready for Java gone. Thanks. Lee
Fixed the java issue earlier, OK. Today I have reverted to 2 new java issues today, and fixed them with a reload of Firefox. Same fix reload new Firefox 32 bit version.
Two resets to no java extensions today. Up now, but not sure of the issue. Any ideas for the recurrence of loss of java Plug in issue? Thanks. Lee
Kindly provide link to where I can safely download the 32 bit version. Most sites only seem to show 64 bit. Using a Surface Pro 3 Explorer 11
Thanks Tealeaf
you can find download-links for firefox at https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/
https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/#en-US
If it doesn't say 64 bit then it's 32 bit
Thanks Lee and Philipp, Gave it a go with no improvement. How may I know whether I have the 32 bit or 64 bit version installedÉ
- 32-bit Firefox versions have "WOW64" in the user-agent
- 64-bit Firefox versions have "Win64" in the user-agent
See the Help > Troubleshooting Information (about:support) page for the user agent.
figured it out by looking at the Uninstall Programs. Using Windows 10. I do have 32 bit.
Thanks, not sure how one gets to user-agent
