I hate it when I launch Firefox and it automatically displays a window. I want to launch Firefox on my Mac and have no windows display at all. I don't see a preference setting for this. All the settings display some kind of content in a window, but again, I don't want any windows to display at all when I launch the app. How do I accomplish this?

Thanks.

You want Firefox to start minimized to the taskbar? Some programs have that option. Firefox doesn't.

Go to the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page {web link} (There’s a lot of good stuff here) and search for what you want.

In Windows, the "Properties" for a desktop shortcut has a setting for "Run" for "Normal Window", "Minimized", and "Maximized". I not sure if Mac OSX has the same.

I am using a Mac so there is no task bar nor any minimizing. That isn't what I am talking about anyway.

Firefox Preferences on the Mac displays the following:

When Firefox Starts: • Show my home page • Show a blank page • Show my windows and tabs from last time

I want a 4th option:

• Show nothing at all

When I launch Firefox on my Mac, I do not want any windows to automatically be displayed at all.

How do I accomplish this via hack or browser extension? I can't Google up anything on this topic, hence my post here.
