Cannot delete History and Top Sites

Hi there,

I am running Firefox Mobile 26.0.1 on a Fairphone with Android 4.2.2. I am fully aware of how I should remove the History (and Top Sites): Settings -> Privacy -> Clear private data -> (selecting all) Clear data

After doing this, I even get the "Private data cleared" alert pop-up, but it has no effect! All the history and top sites are still there.

I just un- and reinstalled the app from the play-store, so there should be no add-ons present any more. Previously, I had the app "CleanQuit" installed. (https://addons.mozilla.org/de/android/addon/cleanquit/) It clears the history on closing Firefox which did indeed work. But I cannot delete the history in the way described above...

I was just looking at another issue I was having with add-on entries disappearing from the menu. I found it to be bug 832990.

After disabling the "don't keep activities" checkbox in the developer settings, I am now able to clear history as it should be!!

Hi all!

Locking this thread since Dieter found a solution.

As always ask a new question if this problem occurs and unchecking "Don't keep activities" doesn't fix it.
