The links which used to be over the google search bar centered in the page are now gone. I can access similar features using the google applications drop down located near the google sign in option, but I do not like the extra steps I have to take to reach the same result. I would like to get my youtube page link back to the top of my homepage, how can I do this?

I am so sorry for you, Its not problem with Firefox or any browser its Google's new look. They were testing it since a couple of weeks ago.

Take a look at the article on Tech Crunch http://techcrunch.com/2013/09/19/googles-new-app-launcher-style-navigational-menu-weeks-away-from-launch/

Google generally chooses random users and developers for experimental UI change. This might last for hours, day depending on their experiment choice or forever if they adopt it.

If you were included based on your Google account information, you might not be able to get out. If you are using Google logged out, you can clear your Google cookies to try to get out of the experiment. Note that this also will remove any custom search preferences, such as opening results in a new window.

To remove Google cookies (save any pending work first), while viewing a page on the site, try either:

right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies" Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies" In the dialog that opens, you can remove Google cookies individually.

Then try reloading the page using Ctrl+Shift+r to bypass cached files and see whether you get the old style again.
