folders disappearing
Having huge problem. Leaving in several days for Mexico and All the information that I compiled for my trip was in a folder that completely disappeared. I had technical support from my email provider try to help but she was sure that they were deleted as she could not find any hidden folders. There were two folders. Both were named with the same name. The main folder was empty and all the information was in a sub folder right underneath the first. Both are gone. If i try to put a name that i remember was in the folder...i get a few emails, but they are only the ones sent by me...no emails that were received. Interestingly, this morning I put in the very same name and one email that was a received one did come up. But, I can no longer get even that one. I really need help. I don't know where to begin. Every bit of information..insurance, airlines, tour companies, telephone numbers for drivers and reservations are all in that folder. Can someone help?

What email providers? is it using Hosted exchange or office 365?
I use Mozilla Thunderbird for email. My internet server is Optonline. I am an older person and am not too computer savvy, so I am not sure that I am answering what you asked. I checked the messages on my server and, unfortunately, I periodically erase the messages as they quickly accumulate to thousands. When I put a search in Mozilla for a name that I remember was in that folder, certain ones appear. They are usually messages that were sent by me..but some are messages from a sender. Where are these messages being stored? There is no folder. ITT support provided as a premier service by Optonline was unable to help me. Suspected that folder was compacted and is therefore gone. I did not do this. If it is gone where are these messages that I able to pull up through the search of the name coming from?
