unable to auto update ESR 24 to 31 ESR
In our IT environment we have enabled auto update for Firefox ESR 17.0.6 but it has been updated to version 24.0.7 ESR, however it should be auto update to version 31 ESR. Please update us if any modification needs to be done or its a know issue.

hello sathishsivaraj, this is the expected behaviour, since there is an overlapping period of two release cycles where both ESR versions (24 & 31) will be supported. there will be another 24.8.0 and then the migration to ESR 31 via auto-update will happen mid-october: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/organizations/faq/

I believe the auto update won't happen until ESR 31.2.0. There is a "qualifying" period with ESR 31.0.0 and 31.1.0
I noticed that 31.1 ESR is currently available on Sept-15-2014 from mozilla "https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/" but my Mac which is running 24.8ESR will not update to that version?
Likely not until the old 24 ESR is done with as last update may be 24.9.0esr.
