updated to 14.0 and no longer can access firefox on my mac OSX--help!
Firefox urged me to update from 3.6 to 14.0, so I did. At the end of the process I was told that "14.0 is not compatible with your OSX system". I have since been unable to access Firefox, and lost all my bookmarks and other info. Also, my computer is slow since then (I"m using Safari). I hope you can help me reverse this, or do what is necessary to get back to Firefox.
I think you should alert people to this incompatibility before urging them to update! Thanks very much.

Open the Applications folder in Finder and drag the firefox application to the trash. At that point you can download and install Firefox 3.6 Ref:

Current versions of Firefox won't work on Mac OS X 10.4 - see Firefox no longer works with Mac OS X 10.4 or PowerPC processors - so if you were urged to update Firefox on your Intel Mac OS X 10_4_11 computer, that's a Firefox bug.
You can return to Firefox 3.6 to get access to your bookmarks and other profile data by removing the firefox.app for Firefox 14 and reinstalling Firefox 3.6, which is still available from http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all-older.html
Thanks for your reply. How do I remove 14.0 and reinstall 3.6. I tried to do that, but didn't succeed. If you wouldn't mind giving me the steps, would appreciate it. Thanks again!

You're welcome. Linda. I'm sorry you had to go through all that but all's well that ends well, I guess.
