Hi I upgraded my Samsung Galaxy S2 to Icecream sandwich .My android version of Firefox is now so slow as to be unusable and links do not activate. Its literally like having a faulty screen its so unresponsive. I also installed Firefox beta and although slightly better this is also a huge performance drop from what I experienced using firefox under gingerbread. I actually regret doing the upgrade as firefox is far and away the most used app on my phone. I have tried the stock android browser, opera, dolphin hd, and chrome and they all zip along. However Firefox is my browser of choice, please can you fix?

Hi,

Thanks for using Firefox! I'm sorry you're having performance issues with version 10 and beta on ICS.

We have rebuilt the app to fix performance issues, and you can download it at http://nightly.mozilla.org.

It has been totally redesigned and is still somewhat unstable, but we expect this to become beta in the coming two weeks, so things will shake out quite a bit each day between now and then.

Let me know how it goes or if you have any other questions.

Thanks, Michelle

The redesign of Firefox has now made it to Beta. You can install it from Google Play extremely quickly and easily by using this link https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.mozilla.firefox_beta. Again, as mluna said above, there are some stability issues, but the app is much much faster and more improved than the current Firefox 10 for mobile. You can read the release notes at http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/mobile/14.0beta/releasenotes/
