Already have Firefox 8.0.1 but Firefox keeps trying to update to 8.0.1, and error message appears.
I receive an error message saying update could not be installed every time I try to open Firefox. It is trying to install 8.0.1 but i already have it. How can I get rid of the error message?

The current release is Firefox 9.0.1, so you are behind on updates with Firefox 8.0.1
