I originally asked this question about 2 weeks ago - - No matter after I delete the sessionstore.js file in C, FFox always starts with some stupid session from weeks ago - even if I completely change the sites & reboot etc - - Obviously the info on those sites which keep popping up, must be stored someplace other than sessionstore.js - - Yes, I've set my preferences to open with my last set of sites, but to no avail

This happened

Every time Firefox opened

Did you check the Home page setting if you have set the Homepage to show when you start Firefox?

See How to set the home page: Firefox supports multiple home pages separated by '|' symbols.

See also http://kb.mozillazine.org/Preferences_not_saved and How to fix preferences that won't save --- You may have other (security) software that is protecting .js files like sessionstore.js , so check that as well.
