I have istalled another Language (German) 5 times, but it still will not work!! WHY?!?

I write a lot in German and would like to use the Spell check function by installing the Language. In ,y Addons, it is listed as installed, but when I try to change the Language in an email, (Yahoo), the German language is not there. How do I get it to work?!?

No, unfortunately, none of that worked. I see I am not the only one having this problem installing German with Windows 7 64 bit
