Highlighting PDF text on Firefox
1. I had downloaded previous PDF files using Microsoft Edge. They came up on Firefox with no problems. I was able to highlight PDF text with no problems. 2. Today, I flipped a switch to download a PDF file using Firefox and to always display PDF files in Firefox. All previous Edge PDF files immediately had their icon changed. 3. Now, I can define the PDF text I want to highlight, but there is no action to click on to make the highlighting happen in a color of my choice.

Hi slmathews99, I don't think there is a highlighter feature in Firefox's built-in PDF viewer. If that's an important feature for you, you can switch Windows to a different programs for opening your saved PDFs. You can use the Windows system search box (usually on the Taskbar) to find the default apps control panel.

My Firefox is up to date. I followed all the steps in Step 1 and Step 2, down to where Yawas appears as an app. When I touch the arrow on "Yawas", a menu opens to the side with the four colors to chose from. However, neither right- or left-clicking; or pressing the central button causes the color highlight to appear.
