youtube does not work properly
Lately when I go to Youtube I am forced to m.youtube which gives me a list of videos to choose from. My browser opens them in RealVideo which I don't want to use. I use to be able to go directly to youtube and view them there. I don't have any problem in IE. Is there any way I can go directly to youtube instead of m.youtube? Thanks Al B.

Also make sure that the Firefox window is wide enough and that you aren't zooming the page.

Hello,
Have you got any user agent switcher addon installed? You are probably redirected to the mobile version of youtube because the user agent is set to a mobile device.
Just downloaded Foxfire and installed so I haven't placed any addons and have no idea what a user agent is. Thanks for trying anyway. Al B.
How was Youtube accessed? A link, manual typing?
Just typed Youtube.com. Now it takes me diretly to m.youtube. A. B.
Have you got an option to switch to desktop view in youtube?
Also, type "about:config" in the address bar and press enter, get past the warning message. Search for general.useragent.override and let us know if it existed.

I'm afraid I don't understand all of this. Tried typing about:config in the address bar of the browser and got an error. Apparently I'm doing something wrong. Don't know anything about useragent, etc. Thanks for trying to help. Al B.
Alright, please try to look if there is an option in youtube that will allow you to view the desktop version of the website, just search for desktop or pc.
It is also helpful to delete your cache and cookies and see if you are still redirected to the mobile site
Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache. Note: This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to. To clear cache and cookies do the following:
- Click the menu button and click History button, and then Clear Recent History... .
- Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
- Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
- From the details list, check Cache and Cookies and uncheck everything else.
- Now click the Clear now button.
Further information can be found in the Clear your cache, history and other personal information in Firefox article.

Yes. This seems to have cleared up the problem. Typed Youtube.com and it came up properly. Thank you for the help. Al B.
