Why aren’t DoD certificates trusted by default in browsers?
I’m seeing many DoD website require me to install certificates, even though they are public sites. Why don’t the common browser trust DoD issues certificates by default?

Make sure you have all DoD certificates installed properly in the Firefox Certificate Manager under Authorities.

hi, due to the critical part such certificate authorities play for a secure internet, there are high bars for root certificates to be included in mozilla products by default: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/about/governance/policies/security-group/certs/policy/
