The standard method would be to manually locate the *.exe file.

However, I did locate some info that there is no executable file for Windows Photo Viewer. It isn't a standalone application. As such you cannot execute it as an application Rather it runs with dllhost.exe. Same information holds good for Windows Live Photo Gallery.

Can you check to see if Windows Picture & Fax Viewer is set by default to open the various extensions you desire?

then restart Thunderbird and see if the options appear.

The usual method is to locate the .exe file using the following method, but do the above to set all defaults and then see if the option appears in Thunderbird.

After clicking on Open select 'Open With' and select 'choose' from the drop down options. If still not in list, click on 'Browse' button Navigate to the location of whatever application *.exe file you wish to use and click on OK's.

Hi Toad,

Thanks for the reply. I came to the same conclusion. Windows Picture & Fax Viewer is set as my default program for JPG's and works fine when using say Outlook.

Only way I can see to do it is use MS Paint (which is also not on the list)

Cheers

Kev
