I am using 5.0b2. At some time during b2, I switched from the Beta update channel to the Release update channel. Today 5.0 final is out and Firefox won't update saying "Your version of Firefox is up to date".

BTW, the "Channel Switcher" feature is gone from the Firefox 5.0 and later versions. It wasn't being used as the developers intended, so it is history.

If the information that Helper7677 provided doesn't indicate that you have the 5.0 release installed, download and install the 5.0 release version yourself.

If you have automatic updates on, it may have already updated.

Here is how to find the real version you have:

  1. click Help > Troubleshooting information
  2. on the new display, next to ""Build Configuration", click the link shown (the link should be: about:buildconfig)
  3. on the page with the title about:buildconfig, click the link next to "Built from"
  4. this display should show "FIREFOX_5_0_RELEASE FIREFOX_5_0_BUILD1" if it is the Firefox 5 Release version released today; mine is highlighted in yellow.

What does yours show on that last page?
