This happened
Every time Firefox opened
Wšě wotmołwy (11)
Clear the cache: Outils > Options > Avancé > Network > Cache: "Clear Cache Now" Clear the cookies: Outils > Options > Vie privée > Cookies: "Show Cookies" (only from sites that give you problems)
same issue
Bad Request
Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand. Size of a request header field exceeds server limit.
where do i go to clear cache and cookies?
"Clear the Cache": Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
"Remove the Cookies" from sites that cause problems: Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Menu differences: Windows: Tools > Options - Mac: Firefox > Preferences - Linux: Edit > Preferences
i clicked on clear now..nothing happens
I can get to other website using IE but not with firefox/mozilla With mozilla i get: Bad Request
This happens EVERY TIME I click on SOME paypal links while I am logged into paypal. If I try the same actions on google chrome, no problem.
So this is most DEFINITELY a firefox problem;
Running Ubuntu Firefox 3.6.18
Error is: Bad Request
Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand. Size of a request header field exceeds server limit.
It appears to be related to cookie handling
Clearing the cache allows me to view some paypal pages again (once I get the error, I can't see ANY paypal pages because they all give this error)
But every time I try CERTAIN links, it gives me bad request again and until I clear the cache I cannot see ANY paypal pages.
So this is a problem that needs to be solved. Apparently firefox can't handle really long cookies the same way google chrome does. (Google Chrome has no problem processing these same links)
Does firefox code accidentally apply GET server limits to session variables or cookies?
As you posted above, this issue can be caused by corrupted cookies that are too long.
So you need to clear the cookies from the site(s) that report this error.
Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
- Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
"Clear the Cache":
- Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
