I've used Firefox for decades. All of a sudden, it stopped working the way it always has. It won't let me sign into any sites to which I have subscriptions; these are sites like the New York Times and The Guardian. And it won't even open financial sites where I have accounts. When I try to do these on Chrome, everything works fine.

I cannot find a way to block websites in Firefox on my iPhone 13 Pro. I found questions in this forum but the answers don’t give a way to actually block websites that are popping up. All that such answers described are ways to “limit” websites in iOS. I don’t just want to limit these malicious dues. I want them blocked. The iOS tool doesn’t allow me to limit them to less than a minute per day. This makes no sense to me.

When attempting to insert account/password into a website, the Firefox would popup, ask for the iOS passcode, popup the list of matching accounts then immediately closed that popup and create a blank tab.

This also happened when trying an alternative but similar method with "Use saved password".

Infuriating.

Difficult to reaearch this.

Happens on numerous websites, most recently at Alternative To dot net.

Hello, my name is Yiska. Thank you very much for taking the time to read my question.

I have been using Firefox on Windows, iOS, and Android for a very long time. I am currently inquiring about the official iOS version from the Apple App Store. It is installed on an Apple iPad Air 4th Generation that is operating on iOS version 18.1.1. My Firefox version is 133.4 (49058). I have been using Firefox on this device for a year or two and I have never had any problems with it until now, and I cannot find my problem addressed in any posts on this site or the Firefox Support Reddit page.

I would like to install the official Ublock Origin extention from the official Firefox extention site. It will allow me to press the "Download" button, but then it will open a page that says,

"Almost there! Now finish installing Firefox."

I am doing this in the official Firefox browser App, so I'm sure you can understand my confusion seeing as I am already here and I downloaded the App a long time ago. It is my default browser, I do not have any other browsers installed on this device and I never have (besides Safari, which comes by default, but I deleted it as soon as I got this device and have never actually used it.)

Beneath the previously mentioned quote there are two blue hyperlinks. The first is labeled "Get help with your installation." The second is labeled "Download in another language or for another operating system."

It will not present any other options to me, and it will not install any extentions even if they are official and Mozilla approved. Firefox doesn't seem to be able to detect... well, itself. I have no idea what I should do to fix this. I'm sure its likely a simple solution that I am just not aware of or something like that.

I would really like to install Ublock Origin or another advertisement and pop-up blocker so that I can watch YouTube/Twitch or stream movies/TV shows/anime in the browser to avoid paying out the nose for all kinds of subscriptions. A lot of things are either practically unwatchable due to giving long unskippable advertisements every few minutes, or they're a digital biohazard and not worth screwing up my device for.

I'm sure many of you can relate to that. I would greatly appreciate any way to solve this problem, even if the solution is to do something entirely different. I'm just completely stumped. I have included some screenshots for clarity, I apologize that my censoring of the photo on my wallpaper is so messy.

I will try to remember to check this post periodically, but there are also other ways to reach me. Use whatever you prefer.
