Gmail contacts not loading in Thunderbird 78
I just got a new computer, I of course installed Thunderbird immediately so I can get and send email... this is not the first time I have used this particular program.... set up email and calendar fine, but for some reason it is not accessing my contact list / address book like lit always did in the past... I never had to install any add ons or any funky stuff before, I set up the email accounts and the address book populated... I need to sync my contacts between multiple computers and devices (phone/tablet)... this always worked before... am I missing something?

It is possible to sync Google contacts without add-ons, but so far only in 85b3. In 78, it can be done with the Card Book add-on or TbSync/Provider for CalDAV & CardDAV.
