I have a problem with T-bird. When I click on a folder in the left field, the upper screen on some of my folders is blank, even when there are new messages. If I click on the blank field, it will open the message in the lower screen. It started with one folder and others have followed.

The list of folders on the left is intact, and if I mouse over the preview pane the blue highlight line tells me if there is a message under the pointer. If I click on it, the message will open in the lower pane.

On the far right of the message list above the scroll arrow is a squarish widget. Click it and select Reset columns to default.

Thank you, Matt! I was about to look for another email client. I've used T-bird for years and love it.

I am not sure why, but occasionally the list of columns appear to be "lost" so nothing is displayed because all the headings are messing. It is confusing, but a very quick fix.
