I have to type in my security question every time now on just my bank, why?
All of a sudden, every time I log into USAA I have to authenticate myself with an extra security question. I have tried deleting cookies. I have tried checking my security settings. I even uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox. USAA is the only site that it just can't seem to get right, but it is one that I log into at least once a day. Please help! I will have to change browsers if I can't figure this out!

No, I realize I have to enter a pin every time. That has always happened. But in the last few weeks I ALSO have to answer a security questions requiring THREE levels of login every. single. time.

A detail like a website remembering you (log you in automatically) is stored in a cookie.
You can use these steps to make a website recognize and remember you:
- you can create an "Allow" exception to keep specific cookies, especially in case of secure websites and when cookies expire when Firefox is closed.
- Options/Preferences -> Privacy & Security
Cookies and Site Data: Exceptions
In case you use "Clear history when Firefox closes" or otherwise clear history or use external cleanup software.
- do not clear the Cookies
- do not clear the Site Preferences
- Options/Preferences -> Privacy & Security
Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history":
[X] "Clear history when Firefox closes" -> Settings - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/delete-browsing-search-download-history-firefox
- clearing "Site Preferences" clears exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, and software installation and exception for password and other website specific data
- clearing "Cookies" will remove all selected cookies including cookies with an "Allow" exception you may want to keep
I have USAA listed on the Exceptions to allow Cookies and Site Data - it still requires the extra step.
I have content blocking set to Standard. I do not delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed.
I should mention that Chrome does not require that extra step.
You can try to clear the cookies from this website and start with fresh cookies in case there is a problem with the currently stored cookies.
As I said in my original post, I have tried this.
Actually I think this is site security related and PIN is still required even if you remember the login. You have to say to remember the 2nd time to save the PIN for login. This isn't a Browser issue but the security setup on the site. I have family that are members of it and that is what happens.
