When I click on the Firefox icon, it does nothing. It doesn't even open Firefox. There is no response that I can see. So what do I do now? I have a bunch of saved passwords that I desperately need to access, and I can't get to them. I also can't access my saved bookmarks. Okay, I finally just fixed this myself. I had found a suggestion that said to open Firefox in safe mode by holding down shift and then clicking on the Firefox icon, which was on my desktop. This did not work the first three times. No starting in safe mode. But then I read something about checking task manager to see if Firefox was running in the background even though the Firefox window refused to open. And Firefox was running in background only. So I ended the Firefox process. Then I tried to start in safe mode again. This time it worked. I closed out of safe mode after a few seconds and tried opening the regular Firefox again, no safe mode. It opened fine. No problem. So I don't know what was wrong, but it's working now. Maybe this solution will help someone else?
