Frequently i get error/s (see attached) uploading photos on ads on Gumtree. I try uploading single photos instead of bulk but it happens there too. When the error happens i cannot continue to upload photos on that ad and have to post the ad and go back and edit it to continue. Sometimes it happens there too. I have contacted Gumtree but to no avail. I can upload many photos in bulk on several other free ads sites like Cracker and Trading Post ETC., with no errors at all. I`m on Firefox 56.0.1-Windows 10. I can`t detect anything on my computer that may be causing the errors. Has anyone experienced this too?

There have been issues reported with specific CDN servers some websites use to host additional files. This error is about appending ("stapling") a time-stamped OCSP response to the initial TLS handshake. This stapled OCSP response is used to verify that the certificate is still valid and hasn't been revoked and might be corrupted in this case.

Try to disable OCSP Stapling temporarily by toggling this pref to false on the about:config page to see if that has effect.

  • security.ssl.enable_ocsp_stapling = false

You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I accept the risk!" to continue.

It is best to reset this pref via the right-click context menu to true once you are done with accessing an affected website since this is a security feature.

Hello Terry from Aus Down Under.

Is this at all related to your last question https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1179923 ? Just seeing if 2+2 = 3 ...

FYI Emergency Flash Update to Version: 27.0.0.170 https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/ Step 1: Select Operating System Step 2: Select A Version (Firefox, Win IE . . . .) Note: Other software is offered in the download. <Windows Only>

Since Windows can be Windows how about we check for errors in that before trying to fix Firefox (it needs fixing ver 57 Quantum release date Nov. 14th)

Repair System Registry and Files

(FOR DOING Above & Below - WINDOWS All OTHER VERSIONS - Use Search To Find Command Prompt ** Enter CMD.exe to Find COMMAND PROMPT Then Right Click & RUN AS ADMIN)

To run the SFC command use the Windows key + X keyboard shortcut to open the Power User menu and select Command Prompt (Admin). Type "SFC /SCANNOW" (without quotes or copy/paste) and press Enter. For more information on using SFC, please refer to the Microsoft KB: Use the System File Checker tool to repair missing or corrupted system files

Run the Windows Deployment Image Servicing and Management (DISM) and System File Checker (SFC) tools as Administrator. The DISM and SFC tools scan the integrity of the Windows image and all protected system files replaces corrupted, damaged and incorrect versions. (FOR DOING Above & Below - WINDOWS All OTHER VERSIONS - Use Search To Find Command Prompt ** Enter CMD.exe to Find COMMAND PROMPT Then Right Click & RUN AS ADMIN)

Windows 10 To run the DISM command use the Windows key + X keyboard shortcut to open the Power User menu, then select Command Prompt (Admin). Type "DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth" (without quotes or copy/paste) and press Enter. While running DISM you may notice the process will appear to pause at 20%. After a few minutes the operation will continue.

Keep a copy of the above for the future.
