ff only opens once per boot

v. FF 55 will not open a webpage on re starting FF - leaves screen blank and goes to sleep? To start again requires a cold boot.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

You can check the Windows Task Manager to see if there are hanging Firefox processes left.

Use one of these to close Firefox if you are currently doing that by clicking the close X on the Firefox title bar.
