I was able to download firefox but when I tried to go to a website it tells me "content requires adobe flash player which is not supported by your device. this content can be viewed on a desktop computer or on mobile device mobile devices that support flash player". So I looked at some of the questions posed and I download the firefox beta and the same thing happens! Why is this happening?? I have a nexus 7 tablet is there anything compatable with this tablet? Thank you for your help : ) robin

You do not need a Beta channel build of Firefox (which currently is 32.0b6) to use Flash as the issue was you needed Firefox 27.0 or newer to use the old Flash 11.1 plugin on Android 4.4. after it came out on tablets/phones.
What Nexus 7 version do you have as there was a 2012 and a 2013 model. A easy way to tell if it is a 2013 is it has a camera on each back and front while 2012 only has one on front.
If it is the 2012 then it has a Nvidia Tegra 3 so the old Flash 11.1 Plugin is disabled.
For reading only as Bugzilla is not a discussion forum or for "me too" comments.

I guess you should try a diffrent browser then maybe the browser already on your phone!
Jakob Wilczynski, the old Flash 11.1 plugin comes from Adobe and not with browsers and as of Android 4.4 it made it so this Plugin will not work normally. The mobile Firefox browser as of 27.0 and newer has worked around that.
If you have the older dimpled back 2012 Nexus 7 its video driver/chipset was causing crashes with Firefox if you used Flash. Thus we disabled flash with devices that use Tegra chipsets with Android 4.4.
