why does FF 11 and 13 crash? here are some reports. if someone can tell me what the issue is, i'd appreciate it. thanks! it will crash at random from boot to maybe 20 minutes max. usually it crashes on boot over 10 times in a row.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

See "Basic Troubleshooting: Make a new profile":

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.

If the new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.

i have done the new default profile with NO addons or extensions and safe mode as well in 3.6, 11, 13, 13.01. they do not resolve the issue. fresh install of FF does not resolve the issue. i need to decipher my ~200 crash reports since 8 JAN 2012 to resolve the issue.

Try to check the connection settings.

If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then select "No Proxy" if the default "Use the system proxy settings" setting doesn't work.

See "Firefox connection settings":
