I'm a new Firefox user. Synched my google contacts from my mobile phone (or so I thought). I don't know how to access them in Firefox. Maybe I need a Thunderbird email account. If so, I can't work out how to get one. Can anyone enlighten me.

hi, when you sync stuff from your google account from your phone this will generally end up within the google eco-system - so you can access your contacts at https://www.google.com/contacts/

Your Google contacts should be available on Google's site when you are logged into your Google account. Unless you use an add-on to integrate them more deeply into the browser, they are just like any other web page content as far as Firefox is concerned.

You can get to your Google account from their general home page or the login page:

Thunderbird is a stand-alone email client, meaning it can work with your existing Google (and other) email accounts. Installing Thunderbird won't create any new accounts; Thunderbird will ask you what existing account you want to access.

Hello, You can access your Google Contacts through the Google Contacts website. Thunderbird is just an email client. It's a program to access your email. It can't give you an email account. You get your email account from somewhere else. You can use your Google Gmail account in Thunderbird if you like.

Thanks, guys for taking the time to reply. I'm getting the hang of Firefox now. In order to quickly find my google contacts now from Firefox I've added the web address to the favourites bar. Simples!! I understand now that it's not necessary to open a Thunderbird email account unless you want to. Thanks again
