When I select a section of a page, then use the print button, the option to print "selection" does not work. It is not highlighted in the print menu.

The print button "action" in Firefox 29 differs from previous versions. Now it opens Print Preview rather than going directly to the "native print dialog" box. That breaks the ability to print a "selection".

My advice is to highlight the selection and then use {Ctrl + P} to initiate printing until Mozilla fixes the print button action in a later version of Firefox.

BTW, there is a Bug report filed about that change in action from the Print button. I just added a comment about this "selection" issue to that Bug.

Personally, I don't use the Print button. I have the Print / Print Preview extension installed, which beside modifying the Print button with a menu for Print and Print Preview it adds context menu entries for same. I prefer initiating printing with a right-click on the webpage.
