I have been using Firefox for my browser and have an account. Yesterday I clicked on the Firefox icon on my taskbar and it just opened with a blank screen. I need all of the information stored on my Firefox account. WHAT HAPPENED?? IT WILL NOT OPEN TO FIREFOX!!

I am so frustrated. Although I'm relatively computer literate, I cannot find a way to stop that sidebar from opening up on Firefox Browser 133.0. I'm using Windows 11 Pro. I can find no button that allows me to either delete it or prevent it from opening. For heavens sake, not everyone wants all this stuff. I just want a great browser with minimal things to have to deal with. It is irritating to have to deal with this when there appears to be no simple solution to get rid of it. I do not feel comfortable with having to try to delete a profile element. Just give me the button to say I don't want it showing up when I open Firefox on my computer. It can't be that difficult. I use the menu bar at the top of the page to deal with bookmarks. I don't need a sidebar. Give me the option to get rid of it. It will always be there to hit the button on again if I choose to but I know I never will. It interferes with my page. If it isn't fixing something that is broken, and you want to try new things, fine. But give me the option to delete it from my experience.

How do I turn this odd feature that dims FF bars when window loses focus? As of look of it only tabbar and toolbar are affected. I couldn't find anything relevant under "about:config". Also some tricks with CSS didn't work for me, maybe because I have custom chromeCSS that brings tabbar under bookmarksbar and applies other customization so that FF window looks like old good FF before they started to put everything on a single line in the bar. During the past week I have been receiving 408 Request Time-out errors on a subscription website our organization uses. The vendor reports no changes to the site and no other customer complaints. All searches I've done point to my local browser or network setup, but I've cleared cache and cookies and it's not my network; I'm currently on vacation and getting the same errors 3000 miles from my home. It has worked fine for the past six months until last week.

I'll have to stop using Firefox if this continues. Please suggest some ideas why this suddenly started occurring and how I might fix it.

I keep experiencing this problem with different websites: Safari works, Firefox doesn't.

I entered valid license numbers (230880, 239798). Firefox displays NOTHING, no error message. Safari displays the relevant info.

Why is this and what should I do if I want to continue using Firefox? Thanks.

Cannot open Analyst links on eTrade website. Looking at a particular stock and clicking on the Analysts link opens another window showing individual analysts and articles relating to their opinions of this stock. I cannot click on either the analyst's name nor the articles associated with their name. eTrade customer service says Firefox is not working well on their site. I tried Microsoft Edge and everything was fine. Is there some feature I should enable on Firefox or is this a shortcoming in Firefox?

I tried to open Firefox and a message appeared: "Couldn't load XPCOM". I uninstalled the program with Revo Uninstaller Pro and downloaded the latest version. I selected Run as Administrator but there is a message that says "Windows cannot have access to the selected device, path or file. Maybe you don't have access rights". However, I do have access rights. I have checked it multiple times. How can I install Firefox and see it work properly? Thanks

Some of the firefox built-in search engines have several comma-separated associated shortcut keywords in Settings/Search/Search shortcuts, e. g.

• @duckduckgo, @ddg for DuckDuckGo

But if I type in several comma-separated shortcuts for any other search engine, none of them will work as expected in the address line. What is the correct way to assign several keywords for the same search engine, like it is already assigned for some default engines?

Hello i used firefox from as long as i can remember i mean so long there was no acoubt as such always loved Firefox but its turned to crap, and i have to admite its due to WINDOWS shit bags, they force an update then it ether goes so slow wont allow restart at normal update, then same problem every single time it fails the firevox system so then have to re download firefox but it will only allow it if i access it through windows so they have all the data off firefox to windows, so i then have to recovery to windows and remove all data off it. then reinstall firefox again it works fine i just sign in to firefox seperate from windows then after a few months it starts again then try and use firefox again but yet asks me auto in stall from my data from firefox and to windows again then if i refuse to it crashes firefox every single time. GET YOURSELF SEPERATED FROM WINDOWS.... THEY ARE SCUM download the ap and log in to firefox simple as block windows from stealing my shit i love firefox fix it or im out ive been with firefox way over 20 years wow even over 30 years over i think....

I have ugpraded to a new macbook (from an intel macbook, this is my first apple silicon macbook - M4 Max). I am having trouble logging in to many of my accounts only when using firefox on my new macbook - eg. soundtoys, spotify - the only way I can get the logins to work is if I run an incognito window to log in. Is there a fix for this? Best, Joe

After yesterday's update, I'm not able to access files in Google Drive using Firefox on Windows. They're greyed out, and when I try to open one, a pop up informs me "This file can't be opened because you're offline." I'm certainly online, and it works on Chrome (ugh). Anyone else experiencing this?

I have created a new Firefox profile. Now I want to copy my settings of the Developer Tools to this new profile. This should also include the custom device settings for the Responsive Design Mode. Is there a file (or files) in the profile-folder that contains these settings, and can I copy this file (or files) to the new profile? I found this link about copying profile files, but it doesn't mention devtools settings.
