The JavaScript Scratchpad comes up every time I type; how do I shut that feature off? It is irritating to the point I do not want to use firefox!

I begin a hotmail response to a friend. Placing the cursor in the right spot, I begin typing...JavaScript Scratch pad comes up, and I have to close it and retype what I wanted to say. I go to search on the address line in goggle...JavaScript Scratchpad comes up, I wind tying there before I know it, then I have to close and not save JavaScript Scratchpad before I can go back to the address line and type in my search.

I do not need this development tool. I want to disable scratchpad all together. How do I do that... it is so irritating I want to scream; I almost want to go back to Internet Explorer... frustrating!!!!!!!!!!!

hello RHZ1, the keyboard shortcut for opening it is shift + F4. maybe your F4-key is stuck and constantly firing - can you test it with a different keyboard?
