firefox 8.0.1 crash even at start up. I have tried to follow your instructions for windows 7 using this"%APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Crash Reports\submitted" but it says object not found.Please help me resolve this.I am not so familiar with computer issues.What can I do?

Ok, well let's work through this here.

First, please update your Firefox to version 11. There have been some crashes fixed which might help your situation. If you can't open Firefox, you can go to www.getfirefox.com to download and install the newest version.

If it still crashes after updating, please try starting Firefox in Safe Mode, and we will see if that helps.

You can also try reading Firefox crashes, which has some other useful information.

Thank you for your help but I cannot open the firefox browser to open safe mode.It crashes from start up.I tried to follow firefox crashes like crashing from start up like opening file"%APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Crash Reports\submitted" but it says object not found.What else can I do?Please note that I am not computer literate.Thanks in advance.

Thank you once again! I downloaded version 11 and now it opens but some sites are not opening properly.My blog for instance is missing head picture and wrong background colour.What must I do for that?

Also make sure that you allow pages to choose their colors and that you haven't enabled High Contrast in the Accessibility settings.

  • Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Colors : [X] "Allow pages to choose their own colors, instead of my selections above"
