When I open a new tab I want the page to be blank (no website). This is what used to happen until recently.

I open Mozilla Firefox and my RTE homepage opens which is fine. If I open a new (second) tab the Incredimail website appears. A blank tab used to appear in this second window. I want a blank tab to appear instead.

Hello,

You can change your new tab page by going to the about:config page and searching for the browser.newtab.url preference. Right click to modify the preference, and set it to about:blank.

In order to change your Firefox Configuration please do the following steps :

  1. In the Location bar, type about:config and press Enter. The about:config "This might void your warranty!" warning page may appear.
  2. Click I'll be careful, I promise! to continue to the about:config page.

EDIT: If this is your issue: http://malwaretips.com/blogs/remove-mystart-by-incredimail/

You actually may have been infected my malware, please follow that guide to remove it if you have not already.
