My Passwords Won't Sync

I have sync enabled and I've checked the box next to "Passwords" under the Items to Sync section. I'm always signed into my Firefox account, so there's no problem there. However, despite all this, when I update a password or save a new password on my desktop browser, or if I do the same on my Firefox for Android app, even though it says it's successfully synced, every time I change my password on one device and then try to log in on the other, it doesn't auto-fill it. It's not syncing even though it says it does.

I love Firefox and I don't want to switch to another browser, but if anyone can help me, please do!

HI Seib3, Do you have a master password set up? This would prevent the passwords from syncing.

Just to try to kickstart the sync these steps will manually sync the passwords. please try this experiment:

  1. Remove the stored password on the Desktop.
  2. Click Sync Now
  3. go to the website with the password, add the username and password
  4. Click "Remember"
  5. Click Sync Now
  6. Go to the android device and click "Sync now" from the account list in the Android accounts.
  7. Visit the same site on the Android device.

Does it show up? And if it does not, if you remove the account on the android device then login again to sync does the password show up?

Sync is timed, but the items synced in the Desktop would be enabled in the desktop. If there are errors you can turn on errors on the desktop. Please post back with the results :-)
