Can't change homepage
Hey there. I have this problem like 3-4 days now. I didn't install anything to my computer but my homepage somehow changed to araxi.org. I can't normally change it because it's locked. I tried about:config solution but I can't change there cause it says that it's "locked". Yesterday I changed my homepage from Mozilla.cfg at Program Files, but when I turned on Firefox today it still araxi.org. I tried System Restore but nothing. What should I do?

Do you have a mozilla.cfg file in the Firefox program folder?
If that is the case then best is to do a clean reinstall and delete the Firefox program folder.
You can find the full version of the current Firefox 29.0 release in all languages and for all Operating Systems here:
Yes I have mozilla.cfg at Firefox program folder.
// lockPref("browser.startup.page", 1); lockPref("browser.startup.homepage", "www.araxi.org"); lockPref("pref.browser.homepage.disable_button.current_page", true); lockPref("pref.browser.homepage.disable_button.restore_default", true); lockPref("pref.browser.homepage.disable_button.bookmark_page", true);
I just can't change that. I copied another mozilla.cfg there and it fixed my problem temporarily. It cames bak after I restarted my computer.

You either need to edit the file and remove all the lockPref() lines and save the file and possibly make the file read-only or do the clean reinstall and delete the Firefox program folder because you won't be able to start Firefox if you remove the file and leave the file in \defaults\pref folder that specifies to use this file.
You can check if there are files in the defaults\pref folder other than the channel-prefs.js file.

Reinstalled Firefox, still have the same problem. It was normal first but when I restart my computer the homepage was changed. I used 3 different programs to find anything that cause this but no luck.
You really need to delete the Firefox program folder after having uninstalled Firefox and before reinstalling Firefox.
I have a solution for this kind of issue, i also encountered this kind of problem when i installed a software and it automatically change my webpage to their webpage, tried to change the original home page to google but every time that i restart my mozilla or PC it always came back to the undesired homepage instead of google, so what i did was i downloaded this software
http://download.cnet.com/AdwCleaner/3000-7786_4-75851221.html
(it's a standalone software so no installation needed) . Just a reminder depends on the anti- virus utility you have it may prompt unsafe or malicious "but hey" it is safe from Download.com itself heheheheh, try it guys .. Run it after that click on Clean it's going to restart your computer,then change your homepage to whatever you want.
