I have Tabs on top and am used to having a tab for my startup page visible on startup. Both in Win2k and XP, Bu tnow I find that under Sindows 7, the startup page shows ok, but no tab is visible.

If i click the far left Firefox button to request a tab, two tabs becomes visible, the fist for my homepage an d the next is the empty tag I requested.

With no tag visible I have to use that roundabout method in order to get me a new tag.

I have used Win 7 only occasionally, but I can't remember it used to behave that way before I updated to version 12.

I couldn't find anything addressing my problem: I have "Tabs on top" and a navigation toolbar.

Starting FF, My home page appears but without a visible tab at the top. Opening the FF tab at the left position, I can select opening of a new tab, and then both the homepage tab and a new blank tab appears at the same time.

OMG, I have overlooked the "Always show the Tab bar" several times! I ticked it ON and there it was!
