The last version of Firefox used to remember my user ID and passwords. How do I get it to do the same with the new version?
On various websites I use that requires user ID and password access, like Facebook for example, the previous version of Firefox would keep this info filled in for me and I didn't have to enter it each time I wanted to use a website. After updating to the current version of Firefox I lost this time-saving feature. It's annoying to have to enter the same info over and over again on each website I enter. How do I get this feature back?

Websites remembering you and automatically log you in is stored in a cookie.
- Create an allow cookie exception (Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: Exceptions) to keep such a cookie, especially for secure websites and if cookies expire when Firefox is closed.
Make sure that you do not run Firefox in Private Browsing mode.

- In Private Browsing - Use Firefox without saving history mode all cookies are session cookies that expire if that session is ended, so websites won't remember you.
Do not use Clear Recent History to clear the "Cookies" and the "Site Preferences"
Clearing "Site Preferences" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, software installation, and passwords.
