Third party scanner application doesn't opening Thunderbird
Hi, I'm using Win 10 pro (up to date) and a BROTHER scan application named ControlCenter3. The scanned document should open Thunderbird (up to date) with the scanned document as attached file . It doesn't work ! Thunderbird is my default mail application in windows . BROTHER support says : it must work. Windows support says : see Brother or Mozilla . Is there somebody who works with ControlCenter3 ? See below the debug screen

The scanner model is not important, but the ControlCenter3 software version does matter. Is it 32 or 64 bit? If it's 32-bit, TB must also be 32-bit or the scanner won't connect to TB. The 32 bit TB 78 is available here.
you're right, I use TB 64bit and when you download ControlCenter3 , first you have to choice the system you used (win10 64bit) but controlCenter3 seems to be always 32bit . That means I should have to switch my TB from 64 to 32bit without loosing my message . I'm in France, it's late , I will do it tomorrow . Thanks, answer you tomorrow

What exactly happens when you scan the document to email? Nothing?
According to these instructions (see link below - no 6) you should have Thunderbird as an option to select. https://support.brother.ca/app/answers/detail/a_id/103111/~/how-do-i-configure-and-use-the-controlcenter3-or-scan-to-e-mail-button-in Do you have this option and is it selected?
When you try to scan to email do you get a pop up error message of any type? eg: scanner cannot find my email program and that internet based email programs are not supported. OR Error CC4-121 or Set the default e-mail application for scanning with ControlCenter or the Scan key
If it used to work, but failed after a Windows 10 update then try reinstalling the printer as per instructions here: https://www.brother.co.nz/customer-help/how-to/fix-windows10-issues
You may have to simply reinstall TB:

According to the support web site , you're right, but all the screen shot you've seen on your link are false . When you install ControlCenter3on Win 10 you'll never have the choice to select the mail application you use. the only way is to select the mail application as default in Win 10 parameters .

I just try this solution after reading the link you gave me and doesn't work . When I was reading the link I note the user Deeka uses a Canon printer/scanner but I use a Brother DCP-7030.

The scanner model is not important, but the ControlCenter3 software version does matter. Is it 32 or 64 bit? If it's 32-bit, TB must also be 32-bit or the scanner won't connect to TB. The 32 bit TB 78 is available here.
