How do i keep my accounts from jumping to a yahoo search link in email.

Just today, when i click on a link in my email the tab that opens is not a google page to the link but a yahoo search page. I want to go to the link that i click on NOT a Yahoo page.

That's definitely not normal.

Question: Are you reading your email in a Firefox tab, and using a link in the email right there, or are you reading your email outside of Firefox in a separate application.

One possible reason for ending up on the wrong site would be an extension. You can view, disable, and often remove unwanted or unknown extensions on the Add-ons page. Either:

  • Command+Shift+a (Windows: Ctrl+Shift+a)
  • "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
  • type or paste about:addons in the address bar and press Enter/Return

In the left column of the Add-ons page, click Extensions. Then cast a critical eye over the list on the right side. Any system extensions that Firefox installs on its own are hidden from this page, so everything listed here is your choice (and your responsibility) to manage. Anything suspicious or unrecognized? If in doubt, disable (or remove).

Any improvement?
