trying to set the launch application for the file type bbc-ipd (i.e. I am trying to download a bbc programme) to be the bbc iplayer.

However following the iplayer help I should find the file type under the options and applications area. The problem is that this file type is not given.

Advice is welcome.

You would have to hack the mimetypes file: http://kb.mozillazine.org/MimeTypes.rdf However I do not know if it still works.
