Mozilla calls it a 'Tool Bar.' And there used to be such a toolbar at the bottom of the Firefox window. But someone, for reasons no one understands, decided to remove it. Despite the fact that a number of add-ons need it to work.
Go to the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page {web Link} (There’s a lot of good stuff here) and search for what you want.
While there were several add-ons that gave us extra toolbars, Firefox Quantum cannot use many of them. Search carefully.
Hi jmarylastone, what do you normally use on Internet Explorer's status bar?
On mine (IE 11), I just have:
(1) URL area, shows the address of a link you hover your mouse over
On Firefox, this appears over the bottom of the document instead of in a bar.
(2) Zoom control
On Firefox, there zoom buttons are on the application menu (the one you open using the button with 3 horizontal bars). Using + to enlarge, - to reduce, and the percentage in the center to reset to 100%. You also can move* this to the toolbar using the Customize feature. See: Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars.
* Actually, you don't remove it from the menu, there is another set you can put on the toolbar in Customize.

Firefox doesn't have a bottom status bar, but it might have the information/controls you're looking for in some other location. Let us know if there are particular things you are looking for.
