I tend to say that by default, there is no such thing as a filters setting in Firefox, nor a "more options" drop down menu associated with the Options icon. Most likely, you were using an add-on for these purposes that has been disabled due to being incompatible with Firefox Quatum and up prior to updating Firefox. Check you add-ons (Tools menu > Add-ons, or Options button > Add-ons, or Ctrl+Shift+A) for outdated add-ons and try to find a replacement.
