This is strange, in order to further troubleshoot:

• Do you have a service that syncs or stores your passwords?
• Do you use a local proxy or Firewall?
• Do you have forums filled in automatically? Control whether Firefox automatically fills in forms

There was also something about Chase in the news today, but it did not have to do with security. However, please make sure all extensions are up to date to avoid security issues.

Speaking of extensions, many Mac users have been surprised to find unrecognized extensions on their systems, since this kind of invasion has generally been rare on MacOS X in the past. Welcome to our world (the world of Windows users.)

Try disabling ALL nonessential or unrecognized extensions on the Add-ons page. Either:

• Command+Shift+a
• "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Extensions. Then, if in doubt, disable (or if suspicious, remove) what you find on the right side.

Often a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.
